Provide minor home repairs that keep seniors safe, secure, and independent in the comfort of their own homes.
Help@Home, an aging in place program of Jewish Family Services (JFS), seeks friendly, skilled handymen - and women! - to provide basic home maintenance for older adults in the Kansas City area.
If you can:
- patch drywall
- repair leaks
- replace shower heads
- troubleshoot a variety of minor home repair tasks
then seniors in your community need your skills!
Volunteer as often as you like, or as little as two hours a month. Easy web-based scheduling lets you choose when you work, where you work, and who you work for! Training and mileage reimbursement provided. JFS serves the entire community and welcomes volunteers of all ethnicities and religious affiliations.
Use your skills to help older adults live safe and independent in their homes. Contact Adrienne Kizer (JFS Volunteer Coordinartor) at akizer@jfskc.org or 913-327-8257 to schedule a training session or get more information.
