Need: Computer Geek? Give back!

Posted on January 30th, 2012 by Jewish Family Services of Greater Kansas City

Seeking computer-savvy troubleshooters to keep Kansas City seniors connected and engaged in the community.

Help@Home, an aging in place program of Jewish Family Services (JFS), needs skilled computer support technicians to provide basic computer care and maintenance so older adults can remain active and independent.

If you can:
- reset routers
- install/uninstall programs
- change passwords
- assess and troubleshoot a wide variety of computer-related issues

then older adults need your skills!

Volunteer as often as you like, or as little as two hours a month. Easy web-based scheduling lets you choose when you work, where you work, and who you work for. Training and mileage reimbursement provided. JFS serves the entire community and welcomes volunteers of all ethnicities and religious affiliations.

Help seniors stay connected! Contact Adrienne Kizer (JFS Volunteer Coordinator) at akizer@jfskc.org or 913-327-8257 to schedule a training session or get more information.
