Do you want to volunteer, but do not have a lot of time? If you are interested in working with kids, but need a minimal time commitment, this is the volunteer opportunity for you!
The Outreach Volunteer position with Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland is a great chance to inspire girls in grades K through 5 who are underserved in our community to reach their leadership potential. Training will be provided and activities will be planned for you to deliver to the girls in various USD 259 Wichita public schools. Many of the outreach sessions occur during lunch or right after school and the sessions run for 6 weeks for each grade level. The time commitment for this volunteer opportunity is minimal, so if you are able to volunteer an hour a week for 6 weeks, that is all the time that it will take for you to empower girls in the community. You are welcome to take on more sessions at more schools and deliver the program to different age groups if you would like more experience. Outreach occurs almost every day of the week during the school year, so it is your choice on what day works best for you and your busy schedule!
