"Angels in the Outfield"

roles: 1 on 1 buddy
requirements: Must be at least 10 and have a desire to help children with special needs play baseball/t-ball one hours per week for 5 weeks
One of the most important parts of The Miracle League is the "Angel in the Outfield System." Angels in the Outfield are volunteers who play baseball with their paired special needs players, helping them in whatever capacity is needed. As a buddy, safety for your player should be your first consideration, and encouraging them to have fun a very close second. Angel in the Outfield goals are as follows:

to protect the Miracle League player at all times
When a hard hitter is up to bat, Angels in the Outfield are to step in front of the Miracle League player for protection.
Always allow the Miracle league player as much freedom as possible to play his/her own game.
Assist Miracle League player according to their needs.
Be of good spirit with enthusiasm in motivation the players and their families.
Arrive at field 30 minutes prior to game time.
Demonstrate high morals and integrity on and off the field.
