Description:	VOLUNTEER: Kansas Youth Advisory Council (KYAC) Conference Wednesday June 20, 2023, 9am – 12pm (4 positions open) Lawrence Doubletree Hotel About KYAC: Kansas Youth Advisory Councils (KYAC) serve within each region of the state. These councils are made up of youth ages 14-20 years who are currently in foster care or have transitioned from foster care. These events provide youth with the opportunity to learn various life skills, promote self-sufficiency, prepare for successful transition into adulthood, and provide feedback on their experiences in the child welfare system. About the position: o 9am-9:30am: Check and sort inventory of conference supplies (find place to store gift bags, area to store T-shirts, sort workshop materials, find place to store prizes, sort, and store graduation gifts) o 9:30am-10:30am: Set up registration tables, (Registration tables: x1 presenter check-in table, x1 staff check-in table, and x4 check-in tables for youth by agency – KVC, TFI, SFM, and COC), Resource Tables, Nursing Station, and Therapy Room o 10:30am-11:30am: Set up & decorate ballroom tables (table toppers, fidget items, etc.), set up DJ booth, confirm plans and layout of lunch buffet tables, set-up and decorate prize table. o 11:30am-12pm: Technology check (Ballroom and workshop rooms) and final prep before presenters arrive.
