Description: | VOLUNTEER: Kansas Youth Advisory Council (KYAC) Conference Wednesday June 7, 2023, 9am – 1pm (3 positions open) Topeka, Ks - TFI Topeka Main Office – 217 SE 4th Street About KYAC: Kansas Youth Advisory Councils (KYAC) serve within each region of the state. These councils are made up of youth ages 14-20 years who are currently in foster care or have transitioned from foster care. These events provide youth with the opportunity to learn various life skills, promote self-sufficiency, prepare for successful transition into adulthood, and provide feedback on their experiences in the child welfare system. Do you like working with children and families? Come Spend the day with us. About the position: - help sort and pack materials for conference workshops – each workshop will be sorted into labeled plastic container with inventory list taped to top of container. Second, sort conference shirts by size. Third, help sort and wrap graduation gifts. Fourth, put together conference day folders with printed handouts. - Requirements must: • be 21 years old. • be background checked. • enjoy having fun with kids. • be patient and kind.
