| Description: | Volunteer - Visitation Monitor Wichita, KS , Lawrence, Ks, Topeka, Ks. - VEC TFI's Visitation and Exchange Center (VEC) provides families with a safe place to meet, play and interact. The VEC provides a neutral site for custody exchanges between parents and supervised visits for families dealing with divorce, separation, domestic violence, child abuse, protection orders, threats, or family reintegration. The VEC provides skilled staff to observe, facilitate, and positively intervene with visiting family members as they spend time with their children and trained security officers are on site during every visit and exchange. Toys and games are made available to the families to use during visits and exchanges in our clean, spacious visitation rooms. TFI's VEC locations serve families in Lawrence, Topeka, Wichita, and the surrounding communities. Hours: Wed. & Fri. 5:30pm-8:30pm Sat. & Sun. 9:30am-5:30pm Description We are looking for a part-time Visitation Monitor to add to our team! All you need is a high school diploma or G.E.D. We will teach you the rest! A Day in The Life as a Visitation Monitor As a Visitation Monitor, you will help protect children from experiencing conflict between parents during visitation or exchanges. To provide support to children and families to help ensure that children can safely create and maintain healthy relationships with their parents. What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who is compassionate, eager to learn, and who wants to help families build on their strengths for healthy, long-lasting relationships by connecting them with community resources. We want someone who has a desire to help children grow, learn, and build healthy families. Requirements must: • be 21 years old. • be background checked. • computer skills. • enjoy having fun with kids. • be patient and kind.
