Guadalupe Clinic is a donation-based safety-net clinic that has been providing health care to residents of Wichita and surrounding areas since 1985. Many of the patients treated are working but cannot afford other health care options. Guadalupe Clinic provides health care services for a requested $5 donation; however, no one is ever turned away due to an inability to donate.

Guadalupe Clinic is a place where anyone who is uninsured and underserved medically can receive quality healthcare from volunteer medical staff who will treated them with care and respect. It takes the contribution of many volunteers both medical and administrative to support the Clinic’s mission to provide access to necessary health care for those in need, work for social justice in health care, and call upon the entire Church and other people of goodwill to join in these efforts.

There are special events, outreach activities, and administrative tasks that anyone can volunteer to help with. Corporate groups, friends, families, students, and individuals are welcome to find the volunteer opportunity that fits your interests and skill set. Please join us in serving those in need!

Because of you, through your generous volunteerism, Guadalupe Clinic will be able to serve people by providing life-saving medical care to those in need. Your faithful giving is the reason Clinic has the resources needed to treat patients, which results in healthier communities in and around Wichita.

Last year the Clinic served over 950 new patients and provided more than 8,000 patient visits made possible by 300+ medical volunteers giving an estimated 7,400 hours of their time. Your support makes this possible! Your next volunteer contribution will provide the resources that facilitate the Clinic’s continued service to people who may have no other access to healthcare.

Join us in service to those in need through your gifts of time, talent, and treasure. This means you are instrumental in providing one thing in life that is essential, good health. It is a gift that is invaluable. Your compassionate volunteerism allows Guadalupe Clinic the opportunity to diligently serve those in need by providing quality medical care. Every time you give, you allow us to help someone like John.

When asked how Guadalupe Clinic helped him, John said, “If it wasn’t for this place I wouldn’t have anything!” John had worked at the Bakery on Pawnee for 11 years, when it closed he was out of work. At 62 years old John was not eligible for Medicare, and without a job he had no health insurance. John moved around looking for a job without any luck. After going nearly two years without medical insurance, he had become too sick to work. John’s previous physician, Dr. Crook a Clinic Volunteer, told John about Guadalupe Clinic, a place where he could get the care he needed even if he had no money and no insurance. On John’s first visit he was so appreciative of the care he received that he donated all he had to the Clinic, $3.50 in pennies. By the second visit he had saved $9 dollars to give towards his care. When asked about his experience at Guadalupe Clinic John said, “This Clinic is the best thing that ever happened to me, the best doctors and nurses that ever cared for me are here!”
