Children / Families
CASA of the Fourth Judicial District, as a nationally recognized program, advocates in the best interest of abused and neglected children by following standards to meet the needs of each child and family. Although our office is based out of Franklin County, we serve Anderson, Coffey, and Osage counties as well. Applicants should complete the application form that includes 3 written references, background screening, and a personal interview. If selected, volunteers will complete a Pre-Service Training and be sworn in as a volunteer. Volunteers can expect to spend 2-3 hours a week volunteering in Child in Need of Care cases. That includes court hearings, case plan meetings, and other interviews. That is 2-3 hours a week that you can spend towards changing the life of a child who needs you.
