Description:

Looking for volunteers to help in classrooms for children with special needs. Commitment would be a couple hours a week; ideally volunteers would be available for a stretch of time, as the children can become emotionally attached. Also looking for help in the infant and toddler rooms, holding babies and keeping them calm. Approved volunteers receive training from the organization where they will serve, and supplemental insurance while on duty. RSVP volunteers do not receive monetary incentives; however those who drive at least 71 miles to/from (per month) while volunteering will have the opportunity to receive mileage reimbursement, not to exceed $15.00 per month. Volunteers are also invited to a yearly recognition banquet.

Requirements:

Age 55 or older, pass background check

Background check required.
