Description:

Meals are available for individuals who are homebound by illness, incapacitation, disability, in isolated communities, do not have help to prepare a balanced meal, and/or aren't able to physically, socially, or emotionally attend a congregate meal site. Home delivered meals assist older adults in our communities to maintain independence and avoid or delay institutionalization. Volunteers deliver meals, serve meals at the meal site, work with participants, or help in the kitchen onsite. Volunteers are eligible for gas mileage reimbursement after driving 71 miles+/mo. Receive these types of insurance while volunteering: volunteer liability, excess automobile, and excess medical.

Requirements:

Age 55+, pass background check

Background check required.
