Jewish Family Services (JFS) needs volunteers to help out at the new food pantry! Our unique pantry, which serves the entire community, has both VAAD-supervised kosher and non-kosher food options and provides direct food assistance with staples such as grains, dairy, protein, as well as fresh fruits and vegetables. We are looking for passionate and caring volunteers to fill a variety of roles, including: sorting/stocking food; assisting clients who come to the pantry; delievering groceries to home-bound clients, and picking up donations from food drives & grocery stores. The pantry is open every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30am - 4:30pm, as well as one Sunday a month. The length of volunteer shifts depends on the assignment, but generally our volunteers serve in three-hour blocks. You can make a huge difference in your community!
