Description:

Volunteers serve as the communication link between families of patients having surgery and nurses in the operating room to keep them apprised of news from the nurses in the operating room or from the surgeon. Families regularly express their appreciation of the volunteers who work in the Surgical Waiting Room, telling them that their presence provides a sense of stability and comfort during what can be a very lonely and anxious time.

Requirements:

Good organizational and customer relations skills

Background check required.
