Description:

Feeding the Children of Central Kansas has been associated with the summer food program to provide breakfast and lunch meals to children for 17 years. These meals assure the youth of the area receive a nutritional balanced meal a day with breakfast items to get them through until supper during the summer. In 2023 we packed and distributed over 40,000 lunches and breakfasts. Volunteers help in the packing room with filling sacks with a meal and breakfast items. A volunteer may be used in the kitchen under the supervision of the head cook and her assistant. You will receive a lunch for your time and energy.
