Description:

Work directly with zookeepers and staff to perform routine duties such as feedings, cleaning, and general husbandry for our animals. Volunteer work is done near animals, but does not involve direct animal contact, handling, or training. Must be able to stand, climb, and bend for extended periods of time and must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors and in all weather conditions. Husbandry Aide volunteers must be 18 years of age to be considered for a volunteer position, and must complete a training session before beginning volunteer work. Shifts for Husbandry Aide volunteers are a minimum of 4 hours per week and must be regular and consistent.
