Friendly conversation and companionship Reading aloud, sharing music, or simply being a quiet, comforting presence Supporting patients with dementia through grounding, calming activities Sitting with patients so caregivers can rest or step away briefly Helping patients with legacy activities (letters, stories, photos) Providing peaceful presence near end of life as part of an optional vigil team Optional specialty roles: Pet Therapy, Veteran-to-Veteran support, or Massage Therapy (if certified) Volunteers never provide hands?on care, medication support, or transportation.
