Description:

We have a series of weekly volunteer days for short-term volunteers (not members of our docent program) aged 14 and up. Volunteers are under no commitment - you can volunteer just once or as often as you'd like. Projects you may work on include landscaping, assisting at Interactive Experiences, special events, or other projects. From this pool of single-day volunteers, we will invite people to join our Docent Program. Docents are long-term volunteers that have committed to serving at the Park. There are several volunteer opportunities that Docents are permitted to help with, including handling of the education animals. A 4-week (1 night per week) training course is required for the Docent Program. Please apply if you would like to be added to our email list! *Please note: This opportunity is only available when the Park is open (mid-March through early November), though we accept additions to the email list year-round.
