Description: The Long Term Care Ombudsman Program serves people who are residents of long term care facilities. The program investigates and resolves complaints made by or for residents in long term facilities. This opportunity is available in every county in Kansas. The Long Term Care Ombudsman volunteer is assigned to a local long term care facility of their choice. Volunteers will spend 1-3 hours per week visiting with residents and listening to their concerns. Volunteers then work with the resident and facility to resolve these concerns.
