Description:

Board members serve a three-year term and are expected to also serve on one of the Board committees; legislative, fund-raising, volunteer development, or policies. They undergo the same thorough background checks required of advocates. Meetings are from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm on the 4th Tuesday of each month, alternating between Newton and McPherson. All Board members should plan on assisting the Executive Director with introductions to high-profile individuals in their professional, civic, church, and/or social circles for purposes of fund and volunteer development. Those with strong professional, legal or financial backgrounds are especially encouraged to consider this opportunity.
